So Long for a Month; Plus Some Exciting News

Sunday, June 17th, 2007

Dear Mediatech members, supervisors and board members; as well as the Flemington community at large. I’m off to Traverse City, Michigan to teach year two of a MA program for my alumni, Michigan State University. I’ll be back in Flemington on the last week of July. Mediatech will be in the able hands of Adam Neboa, one of our first supervisors. Adam is a student at Hunter College in NYC, and knows a lot of about sports and radio broadcasting.
Adam, with the help of CTR editors Bobbie and Tracy, will be running the Serious Game Testers Club on Fridays from 1 to 3 PM. Anyone with an interest in the latest games and game design is welcome to attend.

So what’s the exiting news? On Monday Night, August 13, Gigi Tagliapetra will be visiting Flemington. Gigi is the founder of the original Mediateca in Italy; and the board of trustees will be hosting a dinner party in his honor. Stay tuned. In the meantime, have a wonderful summer!  WB

Tonight’s Serious Game Testers Club

Thursday, June 14th, 2007

Tonight’s SGTC is on. Please come and preview some new games. We’ll discuss what we’re going to do for this summer.

SGTC — Tonight’s Schedule

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

We’re still on for 7:00 PM tonight (Thursday). I’ll be in New York City today, so I may bring back some “first look” news of games in the works.

Note that I’m on a rather late bus, so I may get caught in 202 traffic. If this happens, I’ll call Mediatech’s switchboard at 7:00 to let you know where I am.

Also, SGTC will take a summer break, starting in two weeks, through the month of July. It will resume again in August. Please spread the word.

No Air Conditioning

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

Mediatech’s air conditioning system is currently down, due to drainage problems. We’ll probably have it fixed by Wednesday.
